  2. Hi Mr Darnley , I now know that an allotment is not just used for plants and flowers I know that it is also used for vegetables and fruits. At the library I found that you can look up what you want to find in a book called 'index subject'. At the library there were computers and dvd to use and watch. The librarians read book to little children as an advent, they do this regularly

We went to the library to research allotments.
An allotment is a plot of land which can be rented by an individual for growing fruit and vegetables, for personal and family use. Allotment gardens are usually owned by local councils, but can also be owned by private individuals. Allotments are also called community gardens you pay per month and the plot is yours as long as you pay the bill. In the library you can research many other things like Homework, Maths, Printing and reading.

  6. Allotments is a plot of land where you can plant flowers, fruits and vegetables and other stuff. Also if you wanted to you could have chickens on their too and you could have a mini farm but you couldn't have any cows because their too big.

  8. Today we went to the local library and we found out about allotments. An allotment is a patch of land that you own. You can grow plants or flowers on this patch of land. But if you don't look after your allotment then it can be took away from you and given to someone else!

  11. We have learnt that at the library, we can learn and research information and write facts down. They have fact books and fiction books as well as adult books and children's books.

Allotments are spaces of land that are private property that you can use to grow anything, the people that usually have them don't have a garden.
